A Great Environment

Supporting Students

Cypress College is committed to supporting our students in helping them achieve success.

For those who are planning to visit Cypress College, a great first-stop is the Student Center. The Student Center is prominently located at the base of the campanile. The building features an information booth, the Admissions and Records Office, the Counseling Center, the Assessment Center, the Career Planning Center, the Honors Program, the Bursar's Office, the Photo I.D. Center, Food Services and much more. Immediately adjacent is the Financial Aid Office, the EOPS Program, the Disabled Student Programs and Services and a number of other services. On the other side of the Student Center is the Campus Bookstore.

Cypress College embraces a number of initiatives and best practices to assist our students as well. Although technical in nature, two are worth mentioning here: the Basic Skills Initiative and Student Learning Outcomes.

Also, the college has been designated by the federal government as a Hispanic Serving Institution and is the recipient of a Title V grant related to that designation.

Most importantly, however, is that the college's commitment to students can be seen in the so-called "small things."

Spend just a few minutes walking on campus and it's a pretty good bet that someone will greet you, offer directions or share a smile.
